Get your poetry on at the live slam poetry competition here at Filmbase on the first Sunday of every month.

Any unsold tickets will be available on the door for €6. They cost about an extra euro to buy in advance due to ticketing charges. Buy tickets online at www.facebook.com/SlamSundayDublin

– Venue is wheelchair accessible
– All seated for 100 people
– No alcohol allowed

Prizes on the night:
1st – €50 and a place in Grand Slam on October 1st 2017
2nd – €25
Joint 3rd – €10
Audience vote – €10

There will be 2 intervals with tea, coffee and other stuff available.

There will be an open sign up on the night for 8 of the 12 slots. Sign up for poets is at the ticket desk on the night between 6-6.15pm. The first 20 people to sign up get into the show for free. This is the first show that you have to be 18 or over to sign up to perform, and 16 to attend.

Short Version of Rules
– Poems must be under 3 minutes and memorised
– No props, costumes or backing tracks
– Poems must be original work of performer
– You will need 2 poems to compete (opening round then final)
