Saturday, 11th April, 8-11:30pm

Keep Saturday 11th April free as the 3rd edition of Polish Cinema Night is taking place here in Filmbase. This time, the film, by award-wining Polish director Andrzej Wajda, is Innocent Sorcerers with the music of the best Polish Jazz composer Krzystof Komeda.

‘Andrzej, while clearly burdened by the hard-line communist rhetoric of the Stalinist first half of the 1950s is, in fact, devoid of any sense of ideological belonging. As Pelagia says mid-way through the film: “Our generation has no illusions.”‘

The second part of the evening will be a Jazz concert performed by talented Irish musicians Jackomo Trio. Jackomo Trio are well known on the Irish Jazz/Funk scene, and performed in various venues and festivals across the Country.

Luke Dunford – piano/organ
Alan Elliot – bass
Aidan O’Donovan – drums

Program of the event
20.30 Film screening
22.00 Live Jazz Jockamo Trio

The ticket price includes a food plate ‘zakąski’/Polish snacks and the event is BYOB.

Tickets are available online for €15 each.
