Another Win for The Swing!
Filmbase/RTE Short Film Scoops More Awards
The Filmbase/RTE short film, The Swing won the prize for the Best Short for 13 years and over at the prestigious Carrousel International du film de Rimouski in Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1983, the festival is the oldest children’s film festivals in Northern America and all films are judged by an international jury, composed entirely of children.
The Swing, a coming of age story about two young brothers, Directed by Damien Dunne, produced by Nora Windeck and starring Matthew Dillon (The Sea, Love, Rosie) and Matthew Burke, previously picked up an award for Best First Short at the Galway Film Fleadh and won Best Film by a First Time Director at the Sky Road Film and Television Festival.
In the coming months, the film will be screened at the Konstanzer Kurz.Film.Spiele, in Konstanz, Southern Germany, and at Seen & Heard, a short film festival in Melbourne, Australia.
