Congratulations to the Irish animated series Puffin Rock, which has won two prizes at the Kidscreen Awards.
Nominated in the Programming – Preschool category, Puffin Rock won the award for Best Animated Series and Best New Series. Coming from Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon, Derry-based Dog Ears and Penguin Books, Puffin Rock joined other winners on the night including Sesame Street and Horrible Histories.

The Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival is now in full swing, with the Irish animated short A Coat Made Dark screening in official selection. Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) has a stand at the event, which is located at Irish Stand #9 at the Short Film Market, Clermont Ferrand.

Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ the Irish Film Board-supported films picked up three awards at the European Film Awards, which took place on Saturday evening. Song of the Sea and The Lobster each took home awards from the ceremony, which took place in Berlin.
