Director of Acquisition and Scheduling

TV3 has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Acquisition and Scheduling
Reporting to the Director of Content the post-holder will lead, manage and direct the Acquisition and Scheduling Teams.
The Director will:
Direct all acquisition activity for TV3 Group to ensure the acquisitions Team enhance the schedule and increase viewing share;
Target potential acquisitions and prepare recommendations and strategies
Deal with all International Distributors and lead all negotiations
Develop term sheets and assist in negotiating rights
Manage the acquisitions budget and work closely with the Finance Team
Attend relevant screenings e.g. NATPE, LA, MIP and MIPCOM etc.
Have oversight of all scheduling and direct the team to ensure that programming is scheduled to maximize viewing share;
Responsibility for building morning, daytime, and peak-time TV schedules to attract the maximum audience share
Work closely with the Commercial Team
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of audience and a strong commercial focus. They require proven leadership and people management skills along with the ability to influence at senior level. You must have excellent communication and networking skills and strong IT skills.
Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree, Generally 10+ years’ related experience.
