Get Into Film Love Film? Interested in working in the Irish film industry? Then let us help you ‘Get Into Film’ with an evening of free talks to help you find your way!
For over 25 years now Filmbase has been helping budding filmmakers get started on their filmmaking careers. We will be hosting an evening of free talks on Wednesday 6th June on how to Get into Film, perfect for anyone looking to learn more about filmmaking in Ireland.
The evening will include a session on post-production with our Post-production Training Manager Paul Schwer, there will be a talk on equipment, info on applying for funding and we’ll be inviting a number of Irish filmmakers to take part in a discussion on how they started out in film and what advice they have for any budding filmmakers. We’ll be adding more info in the coming weeks but to make sure you have a place at this event you must book now!
Filmmakers taking part in the sessions that evening are writer/director Conor McMahon (The Disturbed, Dead Meat), writer/director Kirsten Sheridan (Doll House, August Rush) and documentary filmmaker Ross Whitaker (Home Turf, Saviours). Sharon Badal, short film programmer for the Tribeca Film Festival has also kindly offered to take part in the event.
