Galway Film Fleadh Submissions Deadline Approaches

Short film submissions deadline: 16th May

The deadline for entering your short film into this year’s Galway Film Fleadh is fast approaching. The festival is seeking dramatic shorts, animated shorts and documentary shorts for its 26th edition, which will take place from July 8th to 13th, 2014.

To submit to the 26th Galway Film Fleadh, you must follow the link below, fill out the application form and return in to the festival office via post (Shorts Entries, 36D Merchants Dock, Merchants Road, Galway) and/or electronic means (to by no later than Friday May 16th 2014.

Across these 3 categories there are 6 awards:

  • Oscar Qualifying Awards
  • Festival Awards
  • The Tiernan McBride Award for Best Short Drama
  • The James Horgan Award for Best Animated Short
  • Best Debut Short Drama
  • Best Debut Short Animation
  • Best Documentary Short
  • The Donal Gilligan Award for Best Cinematography in a Short Film

The Fleadh takes place every July across Galway city, welcoming a host of filmmakers, international programmers and other industry delegates. It is an Oscar-qualifying festival for shorts (animation and drama). It also platforms excellence in filmmaking with retrospectives, public interviews, tributes and masterclasses from some of the world’s best filmmaking talent.
