‘In Dublin’s Fair City’ Graffiti and Street Art Photography

DMC

June 18th – 20th, 2015

A graffiti and street art photography exhibition in aid of RADE (Recovery through Art, Drama and Education) and the Fountain Youth Project showcases vibrant, humorous and compelling works from Irish based artists, graffiti writers and wall scrawlers, documenting some of the best urban art seen in Dublin over the last few years.

To celebrate its fifth year anniversary Dublin Urban Art has teamed up with All City Dublin paint supplies and record shop based in Temple Bar to create this unique exhibition. These photographs are taken from Dublin Urban Art’s vault of over 32,000 photographs. Printed photographs will all be for sale and all profits will go towards two special charities:

RADE (Recovery through Art, Drama and Education)

The Fountain Youth Project

This exhibition is a visual diary – a collection of images from Dublin during a time of social change and challenges. They represent uncensored personal expression, the Irish sense of humour, wall based artistic calling cards and the pursuit to use art as a means to liberate.

Dublin Urban Art a non-profit project undertaken to document art and graffiti on the streets of our city; photographing representations of imagination and life that are hidden gems within the urban landscape. Its objective is to bring urban art to the fore and invite people to engage with art that is all around us, viewing the city as a canvas which holds a rich amount of self-expression and vitality.

All City Dublin is Ireland’s number one urban paint and markers, music, books and clothes supplier. Based in Temple Bar it is at the heart of the Urban Art scene and organises the All City Tivoli Jam every summer, Ireland’s biggest graffiti and street art event.
