Marketing and P.R. Internship at Galway Fringe Festival

Galway Fringe Festival is an annual open-access multi-disciplinary arts festival with music, theatre, literature & spoken word, visual art, comedy, circus and cabaret as well as a programme of Arts and cultural debate. The organisation is predominantly volunteer-led.
Candidates should have a keen interest in and knowledge of the arts and festival landscape in Ireland. You must be able to demonstrate a background in an arts marketing and communication role and particular skills in the area of press and media work.
The role involves:
• Establishing and managing media relationships before & during the event, including writing & placing press releases, coordinating features and artist interviews
• Supporting effective market research during and immediately after the festival
•Monitoring, generating and sourcing content, and building traffic to the website and social media channels
•Planning and managing receptions
•Any other duties as may be reasonably required for the continued success of the organisation
