IFB-funded doc Barbaric Genius now on VOD and DVD

Following a packed screening and Q&A with the film’s subject, John Healy, in London this week, Paul Duane’s critically acclaimed feature documentary Barbaric Genius is now available to buy worldwide on DVD and VOD
The Grierson-nominated documentary tells the remarkable story of London Irishman John Healy and his journey from alcoholic and homeless criminal to chess prodigy and bestselling author (his awardwinning book, The Grass Arena, is now a Penguin Classic and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year).

Following a packed screening and Q&A with the film’s subject, John Healy, in London this week, Paul Duane’s critically acclaimed feature documentary Barbaric Genius is now available to buy worldwide on DVD and VOD at the film’s website, www.barbaricgenius.com.

The film untangles the story of John’s sudden disappearance from the literary scene and the mysteries that grew up around it. It’s the story of one man’s journey from nothing to everything and back to nothing.
