Where: Filmbase in Temple Bar
What: A skill building and resource sharing event, with open
panel discussions about ways to facilitate, increase and expand
the output of local low budget/micro-budget filmmakers.
It’s an opportunity for vendors and film professionals to show
Dublin’s low budget/micro-budget film community what they
have offer (what’s in your bag).

This intensive 4-Day Acting for Showreel course is ideal for past acting students, or those with experience from similar course, to prepare, workshop, rehearse and shoot a scene.
#GetIntoFilm is a new series of talks, organized by us here in Filmbase, where we wrangle in friends and tutors from all facets of the industry to come and chat to our members.

The Third Wave is a zombie film shooting in Dublin and Wicklow at the end of November/start December 2016, and the production company are looking for actors to play infected zombie roles.

Bursary Award 2016: Collaborative Film

The Arts Council Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award 2016 aims to support individual professional filmmakers working in the area of collaborative film. The Arts Council has provided this €10,000 bursary award as part of the Artist in the Community Scheme, which is managed by Create.
Casting call in Filmbase on Thursday 3rd of Nov (between 1pm and 5.30pm) for 7 short films by seven up-and-coming directors. Shooting locations in Dublin/Wicklow area, travel expenses covered, catering provided. Unpaid

The Feminists Are Awake is taking place in here in Filmbase, Temple Bar. #TFAA is an evening of performances featuring everything from storytelling to poetry to burlesque. Hosted by the brilliant Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh, all proceeds collected go to the Rape Crisis Network Ireland. There’s raffles, music, cakes and all attendees are welcome to BYOB.
Temperatures are dropping, Autumn is almost upon us, but no time for mourning those few days of sun, because Filmbase Venue has loads lined up – and even more up our sleeve. Of course we’ve the usual suspects of occasional castings, exhibitions, festivals, screenings, the record fair and drug and alcohol free boogieing.
