Meetforreal event ‘Ordinary People, Extraordinary Things’ at Filmbase

Meetforeal welcome Stuart Kershaw, adventure sports film director and journalist from In the Dark Productions Ltd to Filmbase on Saturday the 18th July, at 3pm for Ordinary People; Extraordinary Things.

Meetforeal design unique events where you can learn something new from an expert, in this case, Stuart. The afternoon will offer you the chance to share your own experiences of adventure sport and/or filmmaking, (simply make a request to “Show my Stuff” on www.meetforeal.com and win free tickets and prizes on the night); and most importantly, meetforeal events are all about meeting creative, like-minded people, and having cool conversations, so it’s a super way to spend an afternoon!

Stuart has worked extensively as a director, camera operator and editor worldwide, covering events from Uganda, Antarctica, Palestine and Kashmir in both journalistic and filmmaking capacities. Stuart specialises in hostile location work and underwater photography. He will be showing some of his fantastic footage from marathon runners on 7 continents in 7in7on7, and rowing across the Atlantic in the Ocean Row event, where Stuart operated as both an oarsman and on-board director. He is going to talk about how ordinary people can do extraordinary things, and how he manages to combine the things in life that he is most passionate about.

Also, Crewger.ie members will be showing a selection of their finished work, and works in progress and will be taking your questions on their work.

Tickets are 13 euro for meetforeal.com members (sign up is free), or 18 euro on the door.
