STRADFEST 2009, a fantastic FREE festival for the entire family will be held in Stradbally, Co Laois on the weekend of August 28th, 29th and 30th. It will feature the finest line up of local artists, musicians and community organisations that have been in the town for quite some time.

The event has been organised in association with www.crewger.ie. All donations go to Almas Worldwide, which is a registered charity working with children suffering from Aids/HIV and poverty worldwide. For details please visit www.almasworldwide.org.

The highlight event on Sunday 30th will be the screening of five short documentaries filmed specially for the festival, focusing on the history and people of Stradbally.

Crewger are currently putting together crews for this ‘Stradbally Film Experiment’. The idea is that 5 short docs on the history and people of Stradbally will be shot over the next two weeks after the subjects are handed out at the start of next week. The finished docs must be delivered by Friday the 28th of August.
