The exhibition will run until December 4th

Opening hours:

Sat and Sun: 11:30am - 5.30pm

About the artists:

- Darko, a Croatian artist based in Dublin and who has exhibited with the Jorgensen gallery in Dublin. His work “navigates the narrow corridors between the reality of everyday life and abstraction of a dream…a mirror of the world around us and a reflection of the intimate inner spaces”. Darko’s work features in a number of collections in Ireland and the UK.

- Mark Doherty, an Irish artist who has just completed a BA in Fine Art at DIT Dublin and whose work stems primarily from his interest in both Far Eastern Art, particularly from Japan, and his influence from popular culture sources. More information about this artist can be found on www.olliart.com/artists/markdoherty.htm.

- Jordi Forniés, a Catalan artist based in Ireland and who has exhibited with Olliart for the last 3 years. His latest exhibition which was opened by Dr. Rosemarie Mulcahy (HRHA) in July this year can be seen on www.olliart.com/artists/jordifornies.htm. Jordi’s work features in the OPW collection as well as in private collections in Ireland, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, the USA and Switzerland.

- Bartosz Kolata, a Polish artist who lives in Dublin and has exhibited with the Lemon Street gallery, and the RHA (Open Submission 2009). Bartosz also received First Prize at the Irish Art Award 2007 (Final and Awards Ceremony, Digital HUB, Dublin). He was also the runner-up at the Luas/RPA Art Competition, Dublin, the same year. Bartosz’s latest exhibition (entitled “Somewhere over the rainbow”) was shown at The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, Co. Tipperary (in September 2009). Sample of his work can also be seen on www.olliart.com/artists/bartoszkolata.htm.

- Frances Ryan, an artist from Northern Ireland and whose work was exhibited this year at the RHA (Open Submission 2009). Frances has exhibited all over Ireland, with the Solomon Gallery in Dublin, the Mullan gallery in Belfast and the Catherine Hammond gallery in Co. Cork amongst others. Her work is in the collection of AIB Ireland, the OPW, the Westport Town Council, Co. Mayo, to name but a few. A piece of her work that will be part of Urban Stories can be seen on www.olliart.com/artists/urban_stories/UB_Frances_Ryan_01_09.htm. More samples can be seen on her website: www.francesryan.com/Urban_Landscape.html
