‘The Lives of Others’ wins IFI People’s Choice Poll
The Lives of Others to be screened at the IFI Open Day tomorrow (Sat 6th Feb)
The votes are in and counted and the decision has been made. Eighteen hit films competed, one from each year the IFI has been open, and over 1700 people cast their vote. The winner of the IFI People’s Choice Poll by a huge margin is The Lives of Others with 30% of the vote. That the runner-up, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, only managed 8% of the vote demonstrates just how strong the endorsement was for the winner. As a result of its victory The Lives of Others will be shown for its fans in a special free screening on IFI Open Day on Sat 6th Feb at 9.20pm.
