eQuinoxe on its way to Connemara

éQUINOXE ON ITS WAY TO CONNEMARA / éQUINOXE AR A BHEALACH GO CONAMARA
The MEDIA supported training programme, éQuinoxe, will host its 6th International Screenwriters Workshop in Connemara this week. 9 European Writers and their Producers will work with renowned International Script Advisors including Andrew Bovell (Lantana), James V. Hart (Bram Stocker‘s Dracula), David Magee, (Finding Neverland), Mark O ́Halloran (Garage) and Claire Dobbin (Script Editor, Australia)

In addition to the intensive week-long workshop in Connemara, éQuinoxe will hold two Masterclasses for the local industry in association with FÁS Screen Training Ireland, MEDIA Desk Ireland and MEDIA Antenna Galway.

The first of these Masterclasses will take place in Galway on Friday 16th April, when American screenwriter Jim Hart will deconstruct his screenplay for Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The second Masterclass will be held in Dublin on Sunday 25th April, when Australian screenwriter Andrew Bovell will discuss his writing and adaptation process, with particular reference to Lantana. éQuinoxe Germany hosts two Screenwriters Workshops each year in the Spring and Autumn and aims to get the best possible result out of strong stories with an inherent cultural identity and enable talented screenwriters to learn from the best in the business.

Submissions for the next workshop will be accepted from 1-28 May.
