Solas Nua is inviting submissions for the 2010 Capital Irish Film Festival in Washington DC

WHAT? Submissions for The Capital Irish Film Festival
Entries are now being sought for the Capital Irish Film Festival which will be held in Washington DC from 2-11 December, 2010. Films are being sought in the fields of features, shorts, documentaries and animation. Previous applicants are encouraged to apply (whether their prior entry was included in the final Film Festival line-up or not), but please do not re-submit the same film as before but rather send a new entry instead.

The deadline for all entries is 15th June, 2010. The film should be submitted with the following information:

Format: NTSC* DVD Film Screener (*PAL format will not work in US)
Info: DVD to be labelled with the name of the film, the Director’s
name, the length of the film and relevant contact details

WHO? Solas Nua
We are the only non-profit organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to contemporary Irish arts. Solas Nua produces the Capital Irish Film Festival, a critically acclaimed theatre season, Irish Book Day, the DC Irish Writers Festival, visual arts exhibitions, the Éist monthly music podcasts, a free monthly play reading series, a free monthly film screening series, a book club and dozens of special events annually. Founded in 2005 by Dubliner Linda Murray (Artistic Director) and DC native Dan Brick (Producing Director), Solas Nua is a resident organization at Flashpoint.

WHEN? 2-11 December, 2010
The Capital Irish Film Festival will be held in various locations in DC from 2nd - 11th December, 2010. Please give a preliminary indication with the submission as to whether the Director, Cast or Production Staff would be in a position to visit DC during this period.

DEADLINE? 15th June, 2010
All submissions should reach Solas Nua by 15th June, 2010. The submissions should be sent to:
