‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ Gala Screening

The Screen Cinema brings ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ back to the big screen
To celebrate the return of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ to the big screen, the Screen Cinema will host a special red carpet gala screening of the film on Saturday 17th July at 8.30pm.

This night of cinema nostalgia and old-style Hollywood glamour will mirror the style of the film and the audience are invited to dress up and immerse in the charm and sparkle of Audrey Hepburn’s most famous heroine. The audience will be treated to a walk down the red carpet to a welcome reception á la Golightly. A make-up booth will be set up in the cinema especially for the occasion, so the ladies can get the right look for the night. A 1960’s after-party in Shebeen Chic will follow the screening, extending the ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ extravaganza through the night.

Was there ever so elegant and complex a heroine as Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly? Her charm and sparkle have touched audiences for almost half a decade. Holly is a deliciously eccentric New York City playgirl determined to marry a Brazilian millionaire. George Peppard plays her next-door neighbour, a writer who is “sponsored” by a wealthy Patricia Neal. Guessing who is the right man for Holly is easy. Seeing just how that romance blossoms is one of the enduring delights of this gem-like treat set to Henry Mancini s Oscar winning score and featuring the classic song “Moon River”.

‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s will be showing from 16th to 22nd July as part of the Screen Cinema ‘Play it again, Sam’ classic film programme that lets the audience decide.

Tickets are available online at http://www.omniplex.ie/cinema/movie/m3296 or in the Screen Cinema box office, Townsend Street, Dublin 2 (01 671 4034).

Ticket price €10
