The transformation of our favourite movie stars and memorable scenes onto canvas can be seen at here at Filmbase exhibition, by painter Paul Weerasekera. Cinema on Canvas is a new exhibition opening at Filmbase, Dublin on 10th November 2016 as part of Dub WebFest.

Filmbase and Screen Training Ireland are pleased to launch a unique course to provide Irish writers with an introduction to the current US Television landscape. Under the leadership of the Creator/Showrunner of the Emmy award-winning Showtime series House Of Lies, selected writers will work as a group to develop an idea from concept to pitch.

As a director, his award-winning films include Wake Wood, The Last of the High Kings and Cherry Tree. His screenwriting credits include the Mike Newell/Jim Sheridan collaboration Into The West.

Voicesonfilm in association with Filmbase and NUI Galway are delighted to present The Disaster Artist: Inside The Room with Greg Sestero. Greg is the co-star of cult film The Room and best-selling author of the The Disaster Artist, a memoir of his time as an aspiring actor in Hollywood, leading to his bizarre friendship with the mysterious and iconoclastic director of The Room, Tommy Wiseau.

Dub Web Fest, Ireland’s first and only web festival is accepting submissions web series, digital stories and scripts until September 15th for its second edition in November 2016 after an exciting launch last year.
