Screen Talent Europe and Filmbase in collaboration with The Norwegian Short Film Festival invite emerging producers, directors and screenwriters from Northern Europe to pitch new short film and documentary projects at the festival in Grimstad, Norway, June 8th – 12th 2016.
FilmOffaly, Offaly’s Film Commission in association with Filmbase is pleased to announce the FilmOffaly Award 2016. This funding initiative aims to foster creative, resourceful filmmaking in the county. FilmOffaly are looking for unique, original short stories/documentaries by talented new filmmakers, professional and novice alike. The only stipulation is that the filming must take place in Offaly!

FilmOffaly & Filmbase are pleased to announce the launch of our 2015 Short Film Award. This funding initiative aims to foster creative and resourceful filmmaking in Co. Offaly. We are looking for original, entertaining stories by talented filmmakers, who – if selected – must set and shoot their project in the county.
Second Session: Sunday 19th April
The Slingshot Academy, a sequel to the successful Student Slingshot, aims to bring Ireland’s brightest undergrad thinkers & doers together with the next generation of transition year students. This will also occur again on May 3rd.
Deadline: Friday 17th October 2014, 5pm
The deadline has been announced for the next round of Reel Art, the Arts Council scheme designed to provide film artists with a unique opportunity to make highly creative, imaginative and experimental documentaries on an artistic theme. Operated in association with Filmbase and the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, Reel Art will support two films with a grant of €70-80,000 per project.
Deadline: 5pm Friday 27th September 2014
Filmbase and RTÉ are seeking Ireland’s most exciting new filmmaking talent and will support four short film projects with funding and facilities worth up to €20,000 each in 2013.
