Synopsis:

Larry, played by Des Waddick, is an oddball sort of character with a fear of the dark who lives on his own at the top of a desolate tower. On Christmas Eve he finally decides to battle with the last of the Christmas shoppers and buy himself his first ever television. But the real fun is only beginning…..

The First Television has become one of Ireland’s success stories in 2005, receiving a nationwide cinema release in January supporting the Buena Vista Ireland feature Ladder 49. The short film has also played at a number of International film festivals including Los Angeles, Boston, Albania and Zimbabwe as well as Foyle and Cork.
