Filmmakers discuss how they made the most of their budget! Filmmakers in attendance on the night were Lee Cronin and John Keville (Through the Night), Dave Leahy and Jason Butler (Tufty), Luke McManus (Danger High Voltage), Fergal Rock and Orla Russell Conway (Henry & Sunny) and David O’Sullivan and Miriam Cahill (Moore St. Masala). Below is a list of the shorts that were screened on the night.

Danger High Voltage tells the story of a brief encounter between two people at the Electric Picnic Festival in Stradbally. Sarah is having a bad day and her plans for the weekend are unravelling. Mick is down with a few of the lads and is completely in his element. Strange things happen at music festivals. Danger High Voltage tells a story of one night of a lost weekend.

Henry & Sunny

ShortSpace Submissions:

  • Filmbase accepts short film submissions for ShortSpace in all genres (drama, documentary, animation, experimental)
  • To submit your film please email the ShortSpace programmer for more details on clare@filmbase.ie
  • Please note that submitting your film does not guarantee inclusion in the programme
  • Ideally shorts should be ten minutes or under films. Films over 30 minutes will not be accepted.
