Job Opportunities

To celebrate Shakespeare’s 400th birthday Wonderland have been invited two Shakespeare conversation nights at the RDS Members Club Restaurant in Dublin 4 on September 30th A Midsummer’s Night Dream and November 10th Romeo and Juliet. Initial Auditions will be in Dublin 2 on Tuesday 2nd August from 3-9.

An ensemble cast of six actors will share and perform substantial extracts from these plays, Wonderland style, at and around the tables in a dinner theatre setting. These extracts will be performed with simple symbolic props and costumes, leaving much to the audience’s imagination, and also making great use of the venue to help narrate the story.

Between the extracts director Alice Coghlan will lead a lively interactive discussion with the audience focusing on Shakespeare the Theatre Maker, in collaboration with the actors.

Actors will have the opportunity to play many roles from these Shakespeare plays, and share their passion and knowledge of the bard directly with the audience.

(It is also likely that we will perform the same sharing night at 2 other venues, around the same time, but this is yet to be fully confirmed)

Rehearsals will be part time in Dublin City Centre in the weeks leading up to the performance, and will work around other availability, as we are only able to offer performance fees, as we are not otherwise currently funded.
