Certifications are available for Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5 and allow participants to achieve Apple Certified Pro status through Level One and Level Two exams. Level One demonstrates essential knowledge of the application while Level Two attests to a deep understanding and mastery of Final Cut Pro X's advanced features.

FCP 101: Introduction to Final Cut Pro X
3 Days or 8 Evenings
This three-day or eight-evenings course teaches students to perform basic editing functions while becoming familiar with the user interface. Start with basic video editing techniques and work all the way through Final Cut Pro's powerful advanced features. Student's work with dramatic real-world media to learn the practical techniques used daily in editing projects.
* Apple Pro Certification Level One Exam included.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro X and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality.
What You Will Learn
- Creating Smart Collections to organise media
- Using the Magnetic Timeline for a fast, fluid new way to edit
- Combining multiple elements into a single Compound Clip
- Finetuning clips in the timeline with the Precision Editor
- Comparing alternate shots from a collection of clips using auditions
- Applying effects, transitions and retiming clips

FCP 300: Final Cut Pro X Advanced Editing
3 Days or 8 Evenings
This three-day, hands-on course teaches hard-to-find advanced editing and finishing techniques. Learn how to create fantastic effects using filters creatively, color correct like a pro, and create complex audio mixes. This course also covers advanced workflows for managing media, including using Compressor.
* Apple Pro Certification Level 2 Exam included.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for those who already have a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro X and who want to increase their skills by learning advanced features and efficient workflows.
What You Will Learn
- Organising projects with advanced Metadata techniques
- Working with Compound Clips and Auditions
- Working with Multicamera Editing
- Targeting specific areas to color correct with shape and color masks
- Finetuning clips in the timeline
- Creating custom effects and transitions
- Finishing and final output, including working with Compressor

Motion 101: Introduction to Motion 5
3 Days
Create brilliant titles, transitions, effects, and more with Motion 5, the motion graphics companion to Final Cut Pro X. This three-day, hands-on course starts with motion graphics fundamentals and moves into compositing, animation, and the world of 3D. Explore new intelligent templates to quickly and flexibly create high-quality effects, titles, transitions, and generators as well as create rigs to adjust related parameters with a single control.
* Apple Pro Certification Level One Exam included.
What You Will Learn
- Creating Smart Motion Templates and publishing them to Final Cut Pro X
- Creating parameter rigs to quickly adjust related parameters with a single control
- Understanding behavior-based animation
- Using keyframes to create animation
- Creating content with Generators, shapes and paint strokes
- Stabilizing and tracking media
- Animating cameras and using advanced 3D features

Logic 101: Introduction to Logic Pro 9
3 Days
This three-day hands-on course introduces students to Logic Pro's primary features and basic user interface. Students learn how to generate a customized audio and MIDI configuration that will seamlessly integrate with their own personal production studio. Students also create their own song using Logic Pro's comprehensive array of software instruments, Apple Loops and DSP effects. In-depth lessons cover MIDI and audio recording, streamlined editing and arrangement techniques, user defined key commands, automation, scoring to picture and surround mixing. A troubleshooting section helps students to set up and optimize a Logic system effectively.
* Apple Pro Certification Level One Exam included.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for those who want to learn music production and composition using Logic Pro and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality.
What You Will Learn
- Understanding Workflow Techniques
- Recording and Editing Audio and MIDI

- Manipulating Pitch and Time

Course Cancellation Policy
If notice is received at least (i) 14 days in advance of the class, the Customer is entitled to a full refund, (ii) 7 days of the class, the customer is entitled to a full class credit which must be used within 3 months of the date of the original class to another class offered by Filmbase. Customer is not entitled to a refund or class credit if less than 7 day advance notice is given. Failure to provide notice at least 14 days in advance of the class obligates the Customer to pay the full price of the class.
Filmbase reserves the right to amend or cancel the date, time and location of a Training class including replacing the personnel who may be scheduled to deliver the Training. In the event a Training class is cancelled, the customer is entitled to a full refund. Filmbase shall not be responsible for any other loss incurred by Customer as a result of a cancellation or amendment.

VISA, MasterCard, Laser, company or personal check, cash (all in Euros) are all acceptable terms of payment.
