Job opportunities

Sofar Sounds Dublin are looking for a new videographer and editor to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain more experience in live music filming.

Sofar Sounds Dublin is part of Sofar Sounds: Songs from a Room , a global community that every month hosts secret / inviteonly shows in more than 50 cities around the world. They bring music lovers together in an intimate, alternative setting (living rooms, shops or other unusual locations) where they showcase the most innovative new music.
The lineup is undisclosed and the gig location is only shared 24 hours before with people who they have confirmed. During the acts nobody talks, everyone listens – creating the most welcoming and spellbinding atmosphere.
Those special performances are filmed and promoted to their global audience through their website http://www.sofarsounds.com, YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/sofarsounds (32 Million views,155,000 subscribers) and social media.

As the Dublin Sofar videographer / editor you would need to:
● Have your own camera that shoots in 1080p
● Film 1 gig per month
● Edit footage of 3 selected songs
● Deliver the 3 videos within 4 weeks from the shooting

You’ll be provided with general Sofar Sounds filming and editing guidelines.
They are looking to find someone who could join their team as soon as possible.

Gigs are run on a voluntary basis and funded by donations, their small budget to cover the cost of filming and editing. However, as our videographer / editor you’ll have access to a global YouTube channel to promote your Sofar videos, you’ll get to film interesting artists in unusual locations, and you’ll be part of a lovely team of diehard music lovers.
If you’d like to take this unique opportunity, contact dublinsofar@gmail.com and include a link to your best videos.
