Winner of the Critics Choice Award at Raindance Web Series Festival

Storyland Series

There has been good news for Storyland series Rapt, which won the Critics Choice Award at the Raindance Web Series festival last weekend.

The Raindance Web Festival has taken place since 2013 and takes place at the Vue Piccadilly Circus, London, in September. Rapt was chosen as the Critics Choice from the 300 entries and 75 projects in the festival.

Rapt tells of when everyone in Dublin vanishes in an instant, paramedic Angela Smith is left entirely alone. Even her baby daughter has disappeared, but then she starts to receive mysterious messages and she realises there are even darker forces at work.

Rapt was one of five projects from the 2015 series of Storyland, which was funded by both Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and RTÉ.

It was directed by Kieron J. Walsh and written by Devin John Doyle. It was produced by Yvonne Doyle for Blinder Films and starred Sarah Jane Seymour, Ciaran McMenamin, Lise Ann McLaughlin and Leah Minto.
