The Fingal Film Festival launched in 2012 as a non-profit new entity that offers a platform and promotes the works of National and International Filmmakers. The festival encourages the creativity of emerging filmmakers by providing an outlet for their work to be seen by large audiences, whilst providing educational experiences with some of the leading names within the film industry. Our focus is on promoting the works of Irish talent, providing them with the resources to build their portfolios of work. However, at least 25% of our festival schedule is dedicated to International films, 10% Irish Language ensuring our audiences are exposed to new cultural experiences whilst attending our annual event.

The mission of the festival is “to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience.” We have one of the fastest-growing young population in Ireland, and geographically central to some of the leading media training colleges.
