Short Film Crew Call

Unpaid Positions Available

The filmmaking team of Emma Dodds and Adrian Rowe – under the production name of Industrious Dark – are looking for crew to fill a number of positions on our upcoming short film production entitled “Prick”.

Synopsis: A man trains for an upcoming event; eating and exercising seemingly to the point of dangerous obsession, much to the concern of those around him. A surprising conclusion reveals his motives.

Prick is a topical drama around the subject of diabetes, showing the highs and lows and general daily life of a diabetic. The directors feel the subject is often portrayed inaccurately in films and would like to depict the condition in an honest manner but still keeping things positive. They’re coming at it from a different angle; a personal, realistic viewpoint- this isn’t about suffering, it’s just a lifestyle.

Principle photography is scheduled for five days starting 10th October around Belfast.

They’re looking to fill the following roles:

-Director of Photography
-Sound Recordist
-Location Manager/ Scout
-Production Designer
-Assistant Director
-Costume Designer
-Makeup/ Hair
-Sound Mixer/Editor
-Post-Production Colourist

If your skill-set is not listed above and you’re interested in helping out, they’d still love to hear from you.

Prick was awarded funding through Northern Ireland Screen’s recent short film call. Their ultra low budget of £2.5k means unfortunately they can only offer expenses to collaborating crew members but promise to feed you well and create a thriving work experience on a film with a subject matter that affects so many people.
