A dystopic film noir, Tom Waits Made Me Cry is the story of VINCENT MARTIN LEVINE; a man crippled by apathy in a Celebrity-governed society. Born in 1977, the year of Star Wars and the unrelated death of Elvis Presley, he was reared by his father, a life-long Elvis fan who never recovered from The King’s death, with cold fatherly-advice like “Never have heroes son. The bastards will just let you down!” and “This life will be the death of you!” Now, years later Vincent is living his life off the grid and is mistaken for a Free Thinker – an enemy of the State – by the Celebrity Government who sanction his assassination.
