Slam Sunday

Get your poetry on at the live slam poetry competition here at Filmbase. This is an all-seated and non-alcohol event. There will be 2 intervals with tea, coffee and other stuff available. There will be an open sign up on the night for 8 of the 12 slots.

Funky Seomra

The transformation of our favourite movie stars and memorable scenes onto canvas can be seen at here at Filmbase exhibition, by painter Paul Weerasekera. Cinema on Canvas is a new exhibition opening at Filmbase, Dublin on 10th November 2016 as part of Dub WebFest.



Place to Rest your Head

Place To Rest Your Head is a planned multi media project consisting of paintings by Dominick O’Cruadhliocht and photography by Monica Manzzi Barlocco and testimonials from participating models, planning to raise issues of the female breast and male chest regarding breast cancer and other relevant issues.

Dub Web Fest, Ireland’s first and only web festival is accepting submissions web series, digital stories and scripts until September 15th for its second edition in November 2016 after an exciting launch last year.



The Dublin Music, CD & Record Fair

Since 2004 Filmbase has played host to a major event in the record fair calendar – the Dublin Music, CD & Record Fair. Running 3 or 4 times a year, dealers travel from all over Ireland, Scotland and England to exhibit their musical wares at our city centre location.
